This policy explains what DayRate collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep collection minimal and never sell your data.

What we collect
Account details you provide (such as your email), the business data you enter (Gigs, clients, invoices), and privacy-preserving product analytics that never include the contents of your invoices or client records.
How we use it
To run the product, keep your account secure, and understand which parts of DayRate help freelancers so we can improve them. We do not use your business data to build advertising profiles.
Analytics and cookies
We use first-party analytics only — no session replay, no advertising pixels, and nothing sold or shared for advertising. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them on the cookie banner. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, we set no analytics cookies, we delete any analytics cookies a previous visit may have left behind, and we measure page views without any device identifier. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the DayRate cookies in your browser, which brings the banner back.
Cookies we set
Your choice is remembered in a strictly necessary cookie named dr_consent, which stores only 'accepted' or 'declined' for up to 180 days and holds no personal information. If you accept, we then set two analytics cookies. The first is a PostHog cookie holding a random device identifier (a distinct_id — not your name, email, or anything you typed) so repeat visits count as one person; it is kept for up to a year. The second, dr_attr, records where you first arrived from — such as the referring site, campaign, and the page you landed on — so we can see which channels work; it is kept for 30 days. Nothing beyond dr_consent is set before you accept.
Sharing
We share data only with the processors that run the service (such as hosting and payments) under contract, or where the law requires it. We never sell personal data.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Contact privacy@getdayrate.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.
